Raised in Montana, Van Gillette built East Gallatin Law on the same values that define our state, such as integrity, fairness, hard work, and community support.

With nearly a decade of experience in the legal field and three years as a practicing family law attorney, Van understands that every case is more than a file, it’s a family’s future.​ Before founding East Gallatin Law, Van earned his J.D. from University of Montana - Alexander Blewitt School of Law.

When not in the office, Van enjoys fishing and spending time with his family. He can often be found chasing his kids around (2 dogs, 1 human). Van and his wife have created a life they love in the valley, and look forward to helping other families do the same.

Why the East Gallatin?
We chose the name East Gallatin Law after the East Gallatin River, one of our favorite spots in Montana. Van has spent countless hours along the East Gallatin River fishing, reflecting, and finding peace in its steady flow. That same sense of calm and resilience inspired our name. At East Gallatin Law, we believe in guiding families through life’s changes with the same steady current: grounded, patient, and true to Montana values.
